MORE ABOUT ME
RESEARCH
Our identities make up an integral part of our experiences. For example, in Singapore, a person who identifies as gay/lesbian does not have the same housing rights as someone who identifies as heterosexual; racial minorities experience racial insensitivities that the Chinese majority do not. To this end, I study how various aspects of our identities (e.g., our social groups, beliefs, values) contribute to asymmetries in our experiences in cross-group interactions. I am also interested in when and how intergroup contact improves intergroup relations.
